Biogas can be directly used as an alternative fuel for Petrochemical Natural gas, so the development of biogas purification technology has become an important direction to increase the supply of natural gas. In addition, the price of oil is rising, and many people lament the increasing cost of driving. At present, low-cost driving is no longer a dream due to biogas desulfurization and purification technology. This technology can not only make biogas directly replace gasoline as vehicle fuel, but also has better antiknock performance than gasoline. Biogas purification can effectively increase energy supply.
Biogas for purification comes from a wide range of sources, mainly from anaerobic fermentation of organic waste and landfill gas. After dehydration, dust removal and desulfurization, CO2 in biogas can be effectively removed by physical or chemical methods, and the methane content in biogas can be increased to more than 95%. The calorific value and quality of impurity gas meet the standards of natural gas and vehicle compressed natural gas. Purified natural gas can be used as vehicle gas, industrial gas or urban gas.
There are many ways to purify biogas, including high pressure water washing, pressure swing adsorption (PSA), physical and chemical adsorption and membrane purification. Purification process varies with purification methods, but the purpose is to remove carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, steam and other gases, so as to increase the methane content in biogas, improve combustion efficiency and reduce pollution.
Among these methods, some of them are very mature in technology and equipment, and occupy a major share in the biogas purification market, such as high-pressure water washing method, PSA method and physicochemical adsorption method. At the same time, due to the research and application of new materials, membrane separation technology has become a new and popular method of biogas desulfurization and purification, which is an important development direction of biogas desulfurization and purification technology.
